How long does it take to get lab results back for rheumatoid arthritis?
My mom has been experiencing painful, stiff joints. She woke up with them about 3 days ago. She went to the doctor the day after she started experiencing the symptoms and they wanted to run labs to test for rheumatoid arthritis lupus. It has been 2 days since the visit to the doctor and they have not called her back to tell her the results. How long would it usually take to get the results back? Thanks

Why does arthritis in the knee cause fluid buildup?
Arthritis in the knee can cause knee effusion and or water in the knee that needs to be drained to provide relief, but I can't seem to find out what that fluid is or why specifically that buildup occurs. Does anyone have this information?

Can cracking your knuckles for three years cause arthritis?

Any good tips to treat psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis?
I've tried steroid creams but they've stopped working. I've tried a lot of western medicinial creams but nothing works. I got a spray tan once and noticed it started going away on my skin but I was getting too orange. That's a good one if anyone likes to look that way... My dermatologist said to go on a trial drug he's testing but before I consider poisoning my body, I wanna check to see if anyone has any unknown treatments or something they've found helps. As for the arthritis, the change of season on approaching which is making my wrists pretty bad. Any tips for long term pain relief?

Can i give you all a tip to avoiding arthritis in the wrists? if you do this often (like i did)?
after you wash your hands don't flick your wrists to sort of shake the water off of your hands. doing that over time will lead to pain in the joints in your wrist. alternative just use a blow dryer or paper towel preferably a blow dryer since it doesn't contribute to the death of trees to make them .also are their any tips you can give others to avoiding arthritis?

Could this be cartilage or arthritis?
i work at a job where im constantly on my feet. i'm lucky if i get a 5 minute break, constantly running back and forth. Lately for about a week now all of a sudden my right knee hurts so much. when i kneel i can not put pressure on it, it feels like as if its broken. when i bend and stretch it out it feels like its going to snap. i havent hurt myself or anything seriously that i know of. i do have to kneel down a lot though when i am taking inventory someone told me it could be worn out cartilage... how could that be if i'm only 20? any ideas?answers and opinions much appreciated

I'm only 18, possible to have rheumatoid arthritis?
I'm not sure if that's what I have... but I think my hands look like it. Maybe an early stage, not like those horror pictures that you see on the internet of old people with horribly deformed hands. But my finger joints are definitely noticably enlarged and look a bit like crypt keeper hands, and my fingers themselves are starting to look a little crooked and ugly. No one else notices, and when I ask them they say, oh, it's probably just because you're skinny though I'm average weight for my height . First noticed it about 3 or 4 years ago but seems to have been getting progressively worse... I've also cracked my fingers in many ways since elementary school, probably on a daily basis as a nervous habit also have social anxiety . My joints are definitely stiff in my fingers, which is horribly scary to me as I play guitar and piano and also use a computer keyboard on a daily basis. Also am enduring pretty bad knee, back and neck pain and problems. Should I be worried, could this be the infamous rheumatoid arthritis? If it is, is there any way that my fingers can be fixed and I can go on playing guitar and piano without getting very noticeable pain and stiffness after only about 15 minutes?
