17 year old with endometriosis?
I'm 17 years old and I think I might have endometriosis S but I thought it only affected women in their late 30s & older?? And my doctor hasn't said anything to me about it.I first got my period at 10 11 and started getting worse cramps the following year, which got worse and worse. At 13, my symptoms hit it's peak, my cramps were excruciating to the point I would vomit.. so I forced my parents to take me to the doctors one day. And my doctor told me I had dysmenorrhea, and just prescribed me some naproxens he didn't refer me for an ultra sound or anything or try to find out why I got bad cramps in the first place. Since then, I've been prescribed 5 different types of naproxens, but none really work for me anymore. Like 2 years ago, my cramps were sooo bad, I was crying so much and felt like I was on the verge of passing out so my cousin took me to the doctor and again all he did was prescribe another naproxen, and gave me this needle and said the pain would go away in 10 mins. By the time I got back home and to bed, the pain was starting to subside and like knocked me out, so I was able to sleep like a baby. I've had sooo many trips to the doctors, but they NEVER tell me anything just prescribe naproxens. So I just gave up on going to the doctors, meeting my fate each month. I've been researching and stuff but shrug .The first two days of my period is hell basically. As soon as my period starts, I begin to feel very lethargic and weak like all my energy has just been sucked out of me. And I have to take my pills pain killers gravol as soon as I see blood, because I start vomiting not too long after that, and if I don't take medicine before that first vomit.. yeah, it's useless. I vomit legit every 5 10 mins for the whole day, I just keep running back and forth, I can't eat or drink, cause I throw it right back out almost immediately. The next day I wake up, my abdomen and throat is soo sore. My cramps are reallyy bad, I can't even explain it.. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the contractions were as strong as child birth. I'm not even sure if my bleeding is regular. And on top of all this, I have hirsutism. I grow hair on my chest, stomach, and lower back it's not so visible on my lower back, but on my chest and stomach. I shave it, but it's sooo annoying I mean, I shouldn't have hair there in the first place I'm thinking it's some sort of chemical imbalance? Would that be the cause of my cramps too?? And should I go back to the doctors and tell them about my hirsutism even though I've lost faith in them . I seriously envy girls who don't get cramps or their periods only last 3 5 days

Ovarian cancer? endometriosis? ovarian cysits? uterine fibroids? hormone imbalance?i need some advice, anyone?
i am a 20 year old female who has been dealing with a messed up out of wack period for a few years i also produce breast milk & i've never been pregnant.. i've had that looked at but of course the doctor didn't do much because im so young. he recommended birth control & im so not for it i feel like it will mess me up even more or cover up a serious issue. i do have a sister that has endometriosis.. & my fathers side of the family has cancer but i don't think any type of uterine cancers.. over the past few years my periods have been beyond irregular i have had horrible pms symptoms.. from CRAZY bloating to being in pain where i couldn't walk.. i could sit here for hours telling you how bad my pms .. i have missed periods for months in rows.. lately it has been non existant almost. i've just been spotting the past 5 months now.. & at the wrong times.. it hasn't even been red blood it's just been brownish... i did have sex a week or 2 ago & i bleed during that & a day after it stopped.. but it wasn't a period or anything... my periods don't come at the normal times & when it does it's just spotting.. when i miss my periods i still deal with pms or bloating or feeling full & cramps all through out the month or even when im just sleeping.. sometimes my pelvic area will have a lot of discomfort or on either side where my ovaries are will feel swollen or be uncomfortable.. i don't have health insurance & haven't seen a OBGYN in over 2 years which is HORRIBLE i know.. but it's hard in this economy & me being so young & i don't want to rely on the government to cover me & i can't get medicaid anyways.. i could go on & on about the negitives with my period & pelvic issues.. i need some advice?? i worry because i could have something seriously wrong & not even know... a GYN or nurse please comment back.. i want someone who knows what there talking about.. thanks

Hello. I am looking for any twinge of hope here. Does anyone have a pregnancy success story with endometriosis? I have had a hysterosalpinogram to make sure my tubes are open, which they are, my husband has had a semen analysis, all good there and I recently less than a week ago had my second laprascopic surgery to have endometriosis and adhesions removed. first surgery was 5 6 years ago when I was diagnosed Does anyone have a similar story to this with a happy ending??

Has anybody got pregnant immediately after a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis?

Could endometriosis ,hypothyroidism and bladder infections be related?
I'm 20 years old and ,I am being treated for endo but along with thy symptoms of endo my blood tests showed that my thyroid levels are low and my doctor recommended that I start the pills right away. Along with those two and for the first time in my life my urine test has also shown that I have a bladder infection which I treated and is gone now but I wonder if they are related and or triggered by the same factors or controlled by the same hormone. I am doing research of my own, but I have not found much, any ideas or answers I would really appreciateThank you

Is this feeling due to endometriosis?
I'm 14 and have suspected endometriosis. not diagnosed but from all the symptoms I have some dr's say it seems that way and I know that having symptoms is not a diagnosis but anyway.... A while a go, and recently, I had this sudden, strong contraction feeling inside me everything that giving birth sound to be like it was not my period pain that feels totally different No, I'm not pregnant, nor have I ever been, or will be any time soon. I just wondered if this could be due to endo or why it happened. It was dibilitating I had to lie down and breathe really weirdly like really deep breaths as it was so painful and hurt to breath normally. Is it due to my endo, and if so what was happening? Why did it feel like that? Thanks xxyou cannot be too young for endo, you can get it at any age in the years you have your periods, as young as 9 has been reported, although its uncommon in young people. no, its not consitpation although that is a symptom of endo ad my periods are very irregular and heavy, lasting for 19 days sometimes or 2 a monththank you so much, Mary Mary. your answer was just what i was hoping to get well, not saying it was endo , but some support, thank you. my doctor keeps telling me i just need to do a urine sample and that i should just get on with it, that everyone has to deal with it, and that it is wrong to see anyone else at my age. my pain gets worse each month, even codeine hasn't helped. i have ask had 3 or 4 ruptured ovarian cysts, which some say are probably endometriomas, but no one doctors will investigate. though, thank you xx

Could it be endometriosis?
Info i am 45 and a couple of months ago i had some midcycle pain and went to my GP she examined me which was fine and sent me for ultrasounds including vaginal which were fine. She also took some bloods which came back a slightly raised CA125 and inflammatory markers showing some inflammation somewhere in the abdomen. After 3 similar blood results she sent me to a gynaecologist who said though he did not think I have any cancer of the ovary or other gynae he was not sure what to do about the inflammation results.I could have he said endometriosis as i have heavy periods but no pain or any other symptoms. So basically i have been left with having to decide whether to have a laparoscopy to see if I have endo or wait 3 months and have my bloods checked again.Do not really want the laparoscopy if I don't have to does any one else have any ideas or experience like this?Thank you

Could I have endometriosis?
I have been wondering for a while if I could be suffering from endometriosis. I have heavy, irregular and painful periods and experience a lot of pain during sex. I also have fairly weak lungs and I know that can be caused by foreign womb cells in endometriosis sufferers. I have noticed lately that I have been coughing up phlegm and sometimes when I cough, its sounds like and feels like I am retching .I did go on the depo vera injection for a year and a half to ease my symptoms but it caused me to gain weight and other side effects so I have decided to stop taking it. I am worried though because although my body isn't back to normal yet I am getting my cramps again and want to know why I keep getting them.I was also diagnosed with IBS but the cramps I get when I need to made a bowel movement have been a lot worse lately too?Do you think it all connected and if it could be endometriosis?

Does anyone know of a doctor that SPECIALIZES in endometriosis care? In Wisconsin?

Endometriosis? I'm only 15!?
So I had went to my Gynecologist and I explained symptoms of painful bowel movements, pain using tampons, and horrible stabbing cramps during my period. She diagnosed me with Dysmennhorea. This was about 9 or 10 months ago. NOW The symptoms have worsened. I not only have excruciating pain during my period. I have it about 2 weeks before and a week after I know that equals to a month but my periods are very irregular. Bowel movements are painful 75 % of the month, I have all the same symptoms, stabbing pain in my pelvis left ovary hurts the worst. But all parts are very painful. and near my cul de sac It seems that's where the pain is. I had to take a narcotic just to be able to standup and go to work. I am planning on going back to the gyno, I want a laparoscopy done, but I'm afraid she won't take me seriously. I don't want to just manage the pain of endometriosis, If I even have it, I want to get rid of it. I don't want to find out years down the road that I have it and require a hysterectomy. How do I go about explaining my concerns to my doctor?

Could this be Endometriosis?
For the past 3 months for I have been having left sided pelvic pain, back pain, and thigh pain. It usually lasts for about 2 weeks each time. The first time the pain started was on the first day of my period. The 2nd time it came on a week before my period, and the third time it came on 2 weeks after my period. I saw a Gynecologist and they thought it was ovarian cysts, but my pelvic ultrasound came back normal. The pain usually starts off mild, and progressively gets worse as the days go on. The pain seems to worsen upon movement, so by the end of the day I am in a lot of pain. After the first week passes the pain is almost constant, and hurts no matter what I do. Then finally it just goes away. I do have a slight ache on the side in between these episodes, but it is not real bothersome. Other tests I have had done recently is a bladder ultrasound, and kidney ultrasound which all came back good. Does this sound like endometriosis, or could it be something else? I don't see the Gynocologist again until the end of May.

Help with my periods? (Endometriosis possibly)?
So I'm 16, almost 17. I've had my period for many years. When I get my period, I get horrible cramps, sometimes making me feel like throwing up, diarrhea and intestinal cramping, light headed when standing, and of course fatigue and bloating. But I also have extremely heavy periods. I have to change my super tampons every 2 or 3 hours. And there are usually large chunks, I don't know if that's normal or not. I think I have endometriosis but I'm not totally sure. If someone else has it, please let me know and tell me what you think might be up with me. Also, how the heck would I bring this up to my male doctor at my next appointment? If I do have it, I would probably start birth control but my mom doesn't think I should despite me having no interest in having sex with men, I'm a lesbian . How would I convince her to let me take birth control in the event that I do have it?Thank you so much
