I'm just a girl trying to lose weight here, i've stopped smoking, started working out everyday, and i know i need a balanced diet, ive cut out all carbs except for one serving a day and lots of protein, fruit, veggies all that but i also know the best meal of the day is breakfast but i really hate anything other that shakes or juices... everything else make me feel sick to my stomach... i need a protein shake but there are so many different kinds i cant choice i was hoping someone that's way healthier than me would help... Because i dont know what to do....HELP

Dietitian Help: low carb diet?
Im looking for someone who could make me a sample meal plan. Preferably a 1200 calorie, LOW CARB diet. Id like to stick to under 100g a day, but that is flexible depending on my work out routine. Any suggestions about foods to avoid or stick to will help...Ive looked at lots of different websites for low carb diets, but it seems like most of them are designed for body building men, im a 22 year old female who is just looking to slim down and cut body fat. Advice for a low carb, vegetarian diet and any kind of diet that can help with PCOS please.?
I'm 17 now and was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago. I am overweight and find it incredibly difficult to lose weight, in part because of the PCOS. My doctor spoke briefly about a low GI diet and so I eat whole wheat pasta now and white bread is a rare treat but I am still having difficult losing weight. I was thinking about going on a no sugar diet or low carb or something to help with the insulin resistance? I am vegetarian so I am having difficulty seeing how I can cut out carbs such as pasta, bread and rice as these are essentially staples for me. Any help or advice is much appreciated

Is this a good low carb diet?
I had a adkins bar and 1 tbs of pb for breakfast. And then for lunch I had three pieces of turkey with shredded cheddar cheese rolled in each one. And then for a snack I had another adkins bar and for dinner I had a large egg omelet with cheese in it and 1 tbs pb.

How do I low carb when my house is full of CARBS?
I'm trying to low carb and stay at around 50g, 100g at the most. The only problem is that there is barely anything to eat in my house that is low carb friendly everything else is cereal, bread, sugar, dried fruits, etc. My mom doesn't like meat beef,turkey, chicken, .. that much so we practically eat it like 3 times a week, and usually there are no leftovers not that she makes a lot of it anyway . So practically all I can eat is cheese, some vegetables and nuts I try to avoid nuts because I tend to overeat them .Recently Ive also noticed Ive become constipated. I cannot buy flaxeeds to increase my fiber my mom doesnt like it when I diet, she doesnt even know Im doing it and laxatives are definately not allowed in my house... Any suggestions anyone?? I would REALLY appreciate it D

Low carb and energy question?
My doctor suggested I do the low carb plan to balance out my blood sugar. This is day 3, I have had 5 servings of veggies throughout the day as well as the non carb items. I take plenty of vitamins so thats not lacking at all and I excersise regularly. My question is, is it normal to get less rest, I couldnt fall asleep last night until 2 hours after my normal time and I have been high energy all day. Is this normal?

Is a low-carb diet right for me?
I recently found out a skin disorder that I've been living with for a few years acanthosis nigricans it looks terrible and part of my reason to go on my diet is to get rid of it is actually caused by insulin resistance. That, according to whatever research I've done online, means I'm pre diabetic and need to reduce my blood sugar level.Hence, the low carb diet. I'm on Day 18 now and it's been tough, to say the least. I'm always hungry and it's been a struggle to avoid bread, rice, noodles, etc. because those made up a big chunk of my daily intake of food. It's also hard to find snacks to eat when I'm hungry fruits are apparently not as low carb and healthy as I thought and supplements are far too expensive for daily consumption. Now, sure, I've survived on my salads these past weeks, but I keep getting worried this isn't the right diet for me. I've started to feel tired a lot sooner than usual, and just weaker in general.I read the symptoms of insulin resistance and it says that most women with it have excess weight in their abdominal area, but my stomach waist is the smallest part of my body. I am overweight but I've got a pear body shape I know about the exercise part. I do intensive work outs about twice a week, but basically on a daily basis, 30 minutes of walking is about it.Is low carb really the way to go? I've read mixed reviews about the diet overall, and I truly am concerned about my supposed pre diabetic state, but I also don't want to weaken my body or go for the wrong diet. I don't have the money for a dietician, so I'm afraid you're all I have. Please help & thank you in advance
