I am 71yrs and wonder if anyone knows when the menopause night sweats will finish.?
I am 71 and have night sweats not too bad every night 2 at least. I am woken up just before they start. I take Black Cohosh Complex and still they continue. Has been 4 times but normally it is 2. When you wake up you automactically need a wee. It is such a pest and I am fed up waiting for it to stop.

The reason im asking is because.My period stopped in October 2011 and now its January 2012 and i have put on a bit of weight i have made an appointment to see the doctor who is going to take some blood tests now i was thinking that there is no way im going through the change of life because im just 15, im 16 in a month but then my brother told me maybe im going through the change of life and i just stared at him he told me it could happen and Thats when i got scared.I dont want to go through this Thats why i am terrified in case i am going through Menopause because i have my future ahead of me and in my future i plan to have kids sometime but if i am going through menopause then there no possible way for me to have kids in the future unless i adopt.Please help me.

How early can an "early menopause" be?
I've being doing some research, prior to my last asked question, and have realised I have recently adopted 31 of 34 symptoms of perimenopause. I'm extremely young, but I have heard of early menopause what is the youngest age that it is possible to experience this? The three symptoms I have NOT experienced are Flatulence, incontinence and allergies. But I can identify very, very well with the other 31 symptoms.I've been told that it could be P.O.F , something that apparently occurs in the decades before a person becomes menopausal. I've heard that it consists of similar symptoms and can affect people as young as me. I'm not trying to " diagnose myself" , I'd rather know whether it is likely or not before I consult a doctor and look like a bit of a numpty.

im 50 years old, and i am getting irregular periods. My period hasn't stopped for 2 months. its been on off and on off. is this regular? is this a sign of periods for me about to end permanently for my entire life? is this a menopause?

Tremors, insomnia, depression, anxiety - menopause?
I am 51 years old and have been trying to " get my life back" for three years now. I have tried many medications that either make me too fat or too drowsy. I am currently trying Zoloft again, going into my third week at 100 mg. I'm totally frustrated. I shake like crazy, have horrible anxiety, wake up at least three times every night. Either Zoloft isn't working for me or I haven't given it enough time. But, I would love to have my life back. And, of course, because I feel so horrible, the depression kicks in. I have done some of my own research and found lots of women get this from menopause, but my OB GYN says no way. I have been to a neurologist, had a CT scan,MRI, blood work, everything is normal. Any advice from anyone?

Should HRT elimate all menopause symptoms or is it normal to still have some hot flashes after 6 weeks on it?
been on climara pro patch was feeling terrible before taking it, suffered for 2 years feeling much better overall and NO side effects, but 6 weeks into treatment and hot flashes are still present, albeit less frequent and less powerful. Will they ever go away, and will the other symptoms dryness everywhere, thinning hair also resolve after a few months?thanks for the first answer but you are incorrect I've not had periods for 3 years menopause has occured, HRT is supposed to eliminate symptoms, I was asking how long before this form of HRT takes to be fully effective, I have tried all other " natural" solutions and nothing else worked, I am fit and healthy and in supreme fitness health, but these symptoms are taking the wind out of my sails
